The World Drone Racing Championship 2024 (WDRC 2024) is set to bring together 111 elite drone pilots from 32 nations in a high-stakes contest that promises thrilling displays of speed, skill, and precision. Among these competitors, Malaysia proudly fields four exceptional pilots, including one who will compete in both the women’s and junior categories, highlighting Malaysia’s strong presence in the international drone racing arena.

Pilots will compete across four primary classifications, showcasing their talents on an international stage. These classifications include the Overall Individual Classification, the Junior Individual Classification, the Women Individual Classification, and the National Team Classification.

The event will feature prestigious FAI gold, silver, and bronze medals for top performers in each classification, with coveted titles awarded to champions. In the Individual Overall Classification, the top three competitors will receive FAI medals and diplomas, with the first-place winner crowned as the FAI World Champion. Junior competitors under 18 years of age who place in the top three of the Individual Junior Classification will be awarded FAI medals and diplomas, with the highest-ranked junior achieving the title of FAI Junior World Champion. Female competitors who secure the top three positions in the Women Individual Classification will be honored with FAI medals and diplomas, with the leading female competitor recognized as the FAI Women World Champion. In addition, the highest-ranking teams in the National Team Classification will receive FAI medals and diplomas, with team managers and all team members celebrated for their performance.

Beyond the prestige of these championship titles, WDRC 2024 will present competitors with the chance to win a share of a substantial $120,000 USD prize pool, adding further excitement to this high-energy event.
